
Cheryl Tokarski, Director
Cheryl brings a unique blend of industry and education experience to her work in advancing STEM learning across Connecticut. With a background in Electrical Engineering and an MBA, Cheryl spent over two decades in the private sector before shifting her focus to education. She has taught high school math and computer science, led a K–12 math department, and served as a school principal. In her role as Vice President of Programs at the Connecticut Science Center, she led statewide professional learning and student programming initiatives. She later joined the Connecticut State Department of Education as STEM Project Manager, working to strengthen STEM opportunities across districts. Today, Cheryl is proud to lead the development of STEM-ACT, where she works to foster collaboration and build lasting infrastructure to support high-quality STEM learning for all students.
