The Connecticut Network for Children and Youth is seeking nominations for their Best of Connecticut Afterschool Recognition Awards: STEM Super Star Awards recognizing exemplary individuals or programs sharing STEM or STEAM (Science Technology Engineering (Art) Math). These awards recognize their work and/or support provided to the out-of-school time (OST) field. Individuals eligible for this award work in nonprofit, public, private, faith-based, childcare centers or any other program that supports youth during non-school hours (before/after school, vacation, summer programs) in Connecticut serve youth in grades K-12. If a nominee fits more than one role, they can be nominated in more than one category but will need separate nomination forms completed for each. The submission deadline is Tuesday October 27, 2026. The individual identified in this application will be notified by October 29, 2026 if selected for the award. The finalists will be recognized during STEM Week 2026, November 2-7, and winners will be announced as part of a virtual awards announcement, Friday November 6, 2026 and in person at the Afterschool Conference on Saturday, November 7. Free to nominate. Free to attend virtual announcement. Afterschool Conference $125 per person. Winners and a guest will not be charged to attend.
