Exploring CS & Maker Spaces

October 16 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Join us for an exciting evening at Co Create in Stamford as we explore the intersection between computer science and maker spaces. This event will give educators the chance to discover how hands-on, collaborative environments can enrich computer science education and foster deeper student engagement.

During this event, participants will:

  • Tour and explore the Co Create maker space.
  • Engage in a hands-on activity to experience the maker-centered approach.
  • Learn strategies for leveraging maker spaces to make CS learning fun, collaborative, and interactive.
  • Envision how these approaches can be integrated into their own classrooms and school programs to improve student learning outcomes.

Whether you are new to maker spaces or already incorporating them into your teaching, this is a chance to connect with fellow educators, get inspired, and bring back new ideas for your students.

Who should attend: K-12 CS teachers, STEM educators, and anyone interested in the awesomeness of makerspaces.

This event is FREE to members or $50 for CSTA membership.
